On 20/12/2005, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City issued Decision No. 6437 / QD-UB approving Cholimex Seafood Processing and Export Food Processing Company to convert its ownership into a joint stock company.

On July 19, 2006, the company officially operated under the new name: Cholimex Food Joint Stock Company under the business registration certificate No. 4103005042 issued by the Department of Planning and Investment of Ho Chi Minh City. .
