"Vietnam, my country,
Where vast rice sea sky is more beautiful
The stork's wings are fluttering
Clouds cover the Truong Son peak in the early afternoon."
The green fields and the fruit-laden orchards are the results of so much effort that Vietnamese farmers have always had to sell their faces to the land, their backs to heaven, and even their health. to create. With the old farming method, farmers had to be in direct contact with pesticides, insecticides, herbicides, etc. for a living. This work is not only hard work but also causes serious damage to health. The price to pay is really too high!
Farmers work so hard, so many trade-offs, but the efficiency of manual methods is too low: The drug cannot be sprayed evenly on the crops, cannot be localized, eradicate pests in time, and waste medicine. and water, consuming labor, health, and time, and it is impossible to precisely control the number of pesticides sprayed on crops. Therefore, the amount of pesticides on Vietnamese agricultural products is often not evenly sprayed and often exceeds the allowable threshold.
This leads to consumers being directly affected to health because of using "dirty" agricultural products and not having traceability, exported goods are returned, and then they are devalued, even not consumed. This is a heavy blow to the position of Vietnam's agricultural industry in the international market. It was a pain for us, domestic and foreign experts, during our field visit to the delta. The Mekong Delta and the Central region in 2018 and 2019, it's indescribable! It knocks farmers first, then purchasing and exporting businesses, then agriculture and the economy. the economy of the country, and also the Motherland of Vietnam!
Every season passes, farmers worry about "good harvest, loss of value", or return, while Mother Earth agonizes with environmental pain: The excess amount of pesticides seeps down, making farming land effects are gradually degraded, degraded, polluted, depleted water sources… How do these pains end?
We need to work together at home and abroad to bring Vietnamese agriculture with outstanding advanced solutions created by Vietnamese people, for Vietnamese people. After piloting and adjusting to be more suitable for Vietnam, we propose the following two projects that follow the trend of the times, have the breakthrough technology, and bring high efficiency to Vietnam's agricultural industry in the future. a very short time if the government is interested in supporting through a mechanism and institution to monitor innovation operation.
Based on this support, web technology experts, scientists, and investment traders can be bolder when working with businesses, investment funds, World Bank, USAID, organizations non-governmental organizations (NGOs), universities, and research institutes... at home and abroad to quickly and effectively implement these two proposals for Vietnamese farmers, as a basis for later implementation of many other proposals. Other outputs were discussed in workshops.
The first proposal is to use Drone-as-a-Service™ (DaaS™) technology. With the integration of 6 leading technologies from the United States created a leap in the trend of agricultural digitization, which has been supported and promoted by the Prime Minister. DaaS™ saves 30% of medicine, saves 90% of water, and the spray speed is dozens of times faster than the manual method, but the cost is only equivalent to using the manual method and does not have to worry about human resources. force.
DaaS™ applies to all small or large land farmers. DaaS™ has a local crew that provides standard spray services. DaaS™ restores a healthy environment and provides safe food, and makes the countryside a place worth living and full of happiness.
In addition, the application of technology revolution 5.0 through cost-effective technology of small satellites and DaaS™ can develop additional support services to promote more effective management and production, for maintenance for resource protection, production techniques, production management, preservation, and processing, and product consumption.
Some ideas about services of DaaS™
- Current status of nature, production of crops, livestock and forests.
- Managing tides of rivers in the Mekong Delta to warn of floods, salinity, irrigation water for crops, warning of riverine and coastal landslides (additional monitoring and monitoring equipment can be installed). data transfer).
- Management of weeds specific to rice, fruit and vegetable growing areas (through management images analyzed by biological techniques).
- Manage and propose areas for growing rice, crops, fruit trees, raising poultry (duck in the field), aquaculture.
- Management of the rice planting schedule and expected harvest time.
- Managing the flowering period and planning to harvest fruit trees.
- Management of planted forest area, growth situation and biomass production estimate.
- Propose how to rotate suitable crops on rice land (for example, where to rotate soybean crop on rice land and when is the right time).
- Information and management on riverine and coastal landslide warnings (IoT data service monitoring, transmitting data for “Big Data” and “AI”).
- Manage river sand resources and control riverbank erosion through the service to know the river bed depth and sand reserves to control sand mining and control sand mining barges through QR codes or other Electronic chip form will be easier to control.
- Management of landslides in riverside, coastal areas and protection forests in coastal buffer zones through assessment and management of cleft palates along rivers and sea, the degree of erosion to warn and prevent landslides. miss.
- Manage mangrove forests for reasonable planting and exploitation. and manage buffer zones to protect mangroves against landslides, prevent wind protection...
The second proposal that is equally groundbreaking and important is AgriDAO™ Vietnam. This is an organization established through the cooperation of Vietnamese consumers of agricultural products, Vietnamese farmers, and experts in the agricultural field, together with government ministries, universities and innovation centers and institutes, business and technology companies related to agricultural supply chains, investment funds, and banks, agricultural associations and organizations in Vietnam and the world.
AgriDAO™ Vietnam is a decentralized self-governing organization model, using Blockchain, NFT, Web 3.0, and Metaverse technology, focusing on farmers and agricultural products. The main aim and direction of AgriDAO™ Vietnam are to create unique experiences for consumers, through the use of farm products that are more personalized, integrative, collaborative, and rewarding, focusing focuses on economic care for Vietnamese farmers to develop sustainable agriculture that is circular and free of physical barriers.
The AgriDAO™ community will design and shape an AgriHub™ platform that will level the playing field and inspire real innovation, strengthening intellectual property rights and ownership of agricultural products and brands. The common voice of the AgriDAO™ community will draw on the expertise of interested contributors, visionaries, and agricultural partners to design MyAgriMeta™ Metaverse Vietnam from the ground up.
Therefore, the proposal to deploy DaaS™ and AgriDAO™ is, in my opinion, the only and inevitable trend that the 5.0 technology revolution platform can create a significant turning point for Vietnam's agriculture, leading to outstanding and sustainable agriculture. lasting. Based on this technological revolution 5.0, other agricultural technologies in the three pillars, as well as app solutions (applications such as daily manuals for farmers or traceability for example) for Vietnamese agriculture, will have hundreds of flowers blooming.
These three pillars of technology for agriculture are agricultural production, input materials, and food value chains). Thereby, improving farmers' knowledge and economic life.
