Madam, why did Vinamilk decide to pioneer the Organic segment with an organic dairy farm right in Vietnam?

In European and American countries, the trend of using organic food - including organic fresh milk - has been gaining popularity for many years now thanks to its obvious benefits to consumers' health. At the peak of development, people return to nature, choosing the purest natural products for family health.

In Vietnam, in recent years, consumers have started to be introduced to the concept of "organic food", mainly agricultural products such as locally grown vegetables, fruits, meat and fish. Due to the specific requirements of organic agriculture, the output of these products is not much, distribution is limited, and has not been able to reach many consumers.

With the first European organic standard dairy farm in Vietnam, Vinamilk has pioneered the organic trend to bring high-quality, nutritious organic products from nature that are good for health. Now, Vietnamese consumers can easily access organic products that meet European organic standards made right in Vietnam.

Vinamilk decided to invest in organic farms so that Vietnamese consumers have the opportunity to access organic products with international quality standards.

Setting up a dairy farm in Da Lat, Vinamilk has benefited from the following factors: favorable weather, favorable conditions, and human harmony. However, in the role of the leader and starting the first organic farm, there must be many difficulties and challenges?

In order to have a 76.2-hectare organic dairy farm, we also researched for many years to find the land with suitable soil for organic dairy cows. The advantage is that in our country there are perfect lands to grow organic dairy cows, such as Da Lat. Red basalt soil, mild weather, climate close to the climate in Europe should be suitable for cattle raising. But heaven and earth benefits alone are not enough. Still need creative human resources, dare to think and dare to do to the end.

All the process of conversion, land reclamation, construction control from the blade of grass on the farm to the conversion of cows also takes a lot of work. If there is no difficulty, it is not called a challenge. But liking challenges is the spirit of Vinamilk to go further.

Why are you so confident in Organic milk to invest in this farm?

With 40 years of experience in the dairy industry, Vinamilk has owned a system of dairy farms meeting Global GAP standards stretching across Vietnam. But if you only rely on what is available, it will not develop long-term. We decided to invest in organic farms so that Vietnamese consumers have the opportunity to access organic products with international quality standards right here in Vietnam.

Vinamilk's first European-standard organic dairy farm in Vietnam

The level of investment in the farm is large, new technologies and processes must be updated in accordance with European organic standards. A great source of encouragement is that the brothers at Vinamilk are all united, willing to learn and apply new technology to cow breeding.

After 2 years of transforming and developing an organic dairy farm, the results we have achieved are very encouraging. Vinamilk organic dairy farm has obtained the first European standard organic dairy farm certification in Vietnam right at the first assessment by the prestigious Control Union (Netherlands) organization.

How do you assess the potential of this farm?

In the first phase, Vinamilk Organic Dalat dairy farm has a scale of 500 organic cows grazing naturally on an area of 76.2ha of farm. This is Vinamilk's next step on the journey to bring many high-end organic product lines rich in nutrients from nature. Along with the worldwide organic trend, we really want Vietnamese consumers to have the opportunity to access organic products of international quality right here in Vietnam. This is also Vinamilk's opportunity to export. this premium product to the world market.
