According to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), it is estimated that in October, pangasius exports to the Chinese market reached about 64.2 million USD, up 105% over the same period in 2021.
In which, exports of frozen pangasius fillets/cuts accounted for 75% with over US$48 million; Whole fresh/frozen pangasius accounted for over 24%, reaching nearly 16 million USD.
Thus, in the first 10 months of this year, pangasius exports to China reached US$654 million, up 110%, which is more than 2 times higher than the same period last year.
With the above value, China continues to be the largest market for Vietnamese pangasius and accounts for about 30% of the total export value of pangasius in 10 months.
In the import markets of Vietnamese pangasius, China has always maintained the highest growth since the beginning of the year until now.
Pangasius exports to China in each month have more than doubled sales compared to the same period last year.
And from 2020 until now, China has always maintained its position as the largest market of Vietnamese pangasius.
