Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Cao Van Quang, member of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Vo Van Phi, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of 2 co-organizers, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and Long Khanh City People's Committee, and representatives of departments and branches.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Phi emphasized that the Fruit Honoring Week and the Southwest Urban Agricultural Fair in 2022 are important events. In addition to promoting and introducing typical fruit products of Dong Nai, it is also an opportunity for subjects to exchange, exchange and seek opportunities for association in production, consumption of agricultural products and development. According to the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the province now has 100% of the new planting and replanting areas using high quality seeds. Nearly 1.7 thousand hectares are certified for good agricultural practice (GAP) and equivalent, 131 products have trademarks, 108 planting area codes are granted with an area of over 23.2 thousand hectares of crops. such as: mango, rambutan, banana, jackfruit, dragon fruit... and 46 codes of packers eligible to export to markets: China, Australia, New Zealand, USA, EU...

With those strengths, the 11th Provincial Party Congress determined: “Strengthening the restructuring of the Agriculture sector; develop ecological agriculture, organic agriculture, and high-tech agriculture in the direction of commodities…”. Accordingly, the agriculture sector needs to focus on developing agro-ecosystems, building a green economy, a circular economy in agriculture, contributing to environmental protection, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and encouraging start-ups.
