JAPAN SPEEDS UP THE LICENSING PROCESS FOR IMPORTING VIETNAMESE LONGAN

Japan is actively considering speeding up the import licensing process for Vietnamese longans in the 2022 crop year.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and other delegates attended the Departure Ceremony to bring Unshu tangerines from Japan to the Vietnam market. Over the past time, leaders of the Government and functional agencies of the two countries have had active activities to promote the import and export to each other's markets of specialty fruits such as Unshu mandarin, litchi, and longan of Vietnam. Japan is actively considering speeding up the licensing process for importing Vietnamese longans in the 2022 crop year.

At the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that Japan is the most important strategic partner of Vietnam; expressed his pleasure that the Vietnam - Japan Extensive Strategic Partnership is continuing to develop strongly and comprehensively in all fields with high political trust; he appreciated  Mr. Suga Yoshihide and Mr. Nikai Toshihiro for actively promoting the Japanese Government to provide emergency vaccine support to Vietnam in the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic in Vietnam recently.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the positive and effective contributions of former Prime Minister Suga and Chairman Nikai as well as members of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance in promoting the deep strategic partnership. The expansion between the two countries has continuously developed strongly and effectively in all fields, promoting economic cooperation, trade, investment, and people-to-people exchanges; mutual friendship, and sincerity towards Vietnam and people.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked former Prime Minister Suga, Chairman Nikai, and the Friendship Parliamentary Alliance to continue making contributions to enhancing cooperation between the National Assembly, parliamentarians, and young leaders of the two countries. At the same time, promoting the role of a bridge between the two countries' friendship parliamentary organizations.

Former Prime Minister Suga Yoshihide and Chairman of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance Nikai Toshihiro talked about the memories and deep impressions of the country and people of Vietnam. Highly concurring with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's statements, Chairman Nikai affirmed that the Friendship Parliamentary Union would continue to make active and effective contributions to consolidating, strengthening Vietnam-Japan relations and promoting activities that contribute to tightening friendship and understanding between the two nations, including the young generation, contributing to opening up new opportunities for cooperation in many fields
