Mr. Vo Huu Long said: “My durian for export cannot be sprayed or cut, because when participating in the production chain, the cooperative must cut durian at the right age for the business. And when I export and sell it, the competitive value of my durian will increase, competing with Thailand.
When joining the affiliate chain, there are terms of agreement and high value. As for farmers who produce their own products outside, everyone can do it well, this guy does good, the other does bad, in the end, they are all bad products. Therefore, when participating in the production chain, it is more profitable than farmers to produce spontaneously, no one can manage.
In Lam Dong, the project of linking production, processing and consumption of agricultural products according to Decree 98 of the Government on policies to encourage the development of cooperation and association in production and consumption of products is carried out in this period. from 2019 to 2023, with a total budget of about VND 270 billion. In which, more than 51% of state budget capital comes from the source of new rural construction and integration from other programs and projects; nearly 49% of the remaining amount is reciprocal capital from enterprises, cooperatives and people.
Mr. Nguyen Van Chau, Deputy Director of Lam Dong Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, said that Lam Dong has now built and developed 182 linkage chains, with nearly 16,000 farming households and 2,445 breeding households. The production value through the linkage chain in 2021 will reach VND 14,000 378 billion, accounting for 20% of the total production value of the agricultural industry in the province.
Particularly, fresh vegetables and fruits increase by 20-25% of product value compared to normal production. In the future, the agricultural sector will continue to support and encourage the development of more new linkage models to meet the production requirements of farmers.
Mr. Nguyen Van Chau expressed: “Most farmers have linked with enterprises and closed cooperatives from production, processing to product consumption. The products in the chain are stabilized, the output is stabilized, the value is improved, the quality is ensured, and the food safety and hygiene are ensured.
However, with such results, but the province's agricultural output is increasing, the demand for stable consumption through linkages is still very large. In the agricultural restructuring plan for the period of 2022-2025, we still allocate part of the funding to continue expanding and developing new production linkages.
