Ganoderma lucidum, scientifically known as Ganoderma lucidum, is a valuable medicinal herb. Ganoderma lucidum has average properties, bitter taste and non-toxic, has the effect of detoxifying the liver, protecting the liver, beautifying the skin, enhancing health... Currently, reishi mushrooms in nature are increasingly depleted, so they should be used. Using this type of medicine, consumers have to spend a lot of money.
In the past, Ganoderma lucidum was often grown with sawdust at great cost and had to use many additives, so it was difficult to ensure the "clean" factor for the product. To overcome those limitations, at the end of 2017, Hoa Binh Science and Technology Information Application Center (under the Department of Science and Technology of Hoa Binh province) implemented a model of growing red reishi mushroom on a substrate. fresh acacia wood. In the past time, the Center has paid great attention to the production process, applying biotechnology in farming, self-treating raw materials to finished products, thereby producing high quality mushroom products.
Different from the popular technology of growing mushrooms on sawdust, the technique applied by the Center is completely new, that is, Ganoderma is grown on a substrate with fresh acacia wood. This method is both simple and takes advantage of the abundant and available local raw materials, helping to increase people's income.
Raw materials for growing Ganoderma lucidum ensure no fertilizers, no pesticides, are selected from acacia wood with an age of 3 to 5 years, fresh wood, with intact bark to make a substrate. After being preliminarily processed, packed to meet the technical requirements and put into autoclaving at the autoclave for 8 hours or more depending on conditions and maintained at a temperature of 100oC or more.
After autoclaving, the mushroom bag is brought into the room to cool and inoculate, then incubate the mycelium for a period of 20 to 30 days, depending on the actual weather conditions. In order to produce mushrooms with quality, size, and aesthetics, light, temperature, and humidity must be adjusted in a timely manner according to each growth and development stage of the fungus. When the mushroom's ear no longer has a light yellow border but turns brown, it can be harvested. The average weight of mushrooms when harvested is over 200g.
In order to ensure the quality of Ganoderma lucidum, in addition to the technical requirements in the process of planting and caring, the right time, right technique and preservation are also applied by the Center for Scientific and Technological Information. Hoa Binh technology is particularly interested.
The difference of this technique is that the nutrient source for the fungus is provided completely directly from the acacia tree, without the addition of any additives or fertilizers. Therefore, the quality of the obtained Ganoderma lucidum is almost equivalent to that of the wild mushroom. Each litter is planted about 3 months to harvest the first batch.
A bag of media can be harvested 3 times, after about 70 - 80 days to harvest the next litter. Mushroom fruit bodies, after being harvested, are cleaned and processed, cut off the feet, then dried continuously at a temperature of 40 - 45oC. When drying Ganoderma at the right temperature, it will keep the best content of medicinal substances and amino acids when exported to the market.
According to statistics, 3kg of fresh reishi mushrooms will yield 1kg of dried reishi. Therefore, the price of dried mushrooms will also be high, because of their sophisticated nature and few harvests, not as many as other mushrooms. Mushrooms sold on the market have prices ranging from 600,000 - 800,000 VND/kg. With preeminent properties for human health, Ganoderma lucidum can be used as medicinal herbs for traditional medicine or made tea for daily drinking.
Through testing, the product of red reishi mushroom grown by the method of culture on fresh acacia is guaranteed to be clean, with high active medicinal ingredients. Thereby, all farmers can grow Ganoderma lucidum, creating conditions for consumers to enjoy high quality products at reasonable prices.
In the coming time, Hoa Binh Science and Technology Information Application Center will build a processing and production line for Ganoderma lucidum tea.
