Currently, the whole province of Hai Duong has about 2,100 hectares of longan growing area, the annual output of longan reaches over 12 thousand tons, of which in Ho Chi Minh City. Chi Linh has 740ha, the output is over 4000 tons.

Chi Linh longan is basically grown in large-scale specialized cultivation areas, 28 area codes for longan growing areas have been granted with an area of about 190ha to produce export standard longan with an expected output of about 1,200 tons.
